Why Legacy of Light is so important to our community
In the Rundu region of Namibia, the need for knowledge, skills, and hope is greater than ever. Interviews and research show that many people, especially young people and single parents, long for opportunities to learn something that will enable them to earn their own income. Most residents possess great potential and a strong desire to work, but opportunities to learn a trade are limited or inaccessible.
Legacy of Light International was born from that sense of loss—the call for light, knowledge, and self-reliance. We believe that true change begins with inner growth. By giving people the opportunity to discover their talents, develop skills, and strengthen their mindset, we create a movement of conscious leaders who transform not only their own lives but also the lives of their communities.
Our training courses, workshops, and projects combine practical knowledge with spiritual awareness. We teach people not only how to build, sew, grow, or run a business—but also why it's important to do so from the heart, with vision, and with responsibility.
Legacy of Light is more than a school or an organization. It is a beacon of hope, a source of knowledge, and a home for growth. Here, people learn to believe again in their power—and in the idea that true development begins from within.
Together we build not just walls, but a future full of meaning, dignity and love.

Together we build the future
At this location in Rundu, the local community produces the bricks for the construction of our community center and vocational school.
With every brick laid here, we're not just building walls — we're building self-confidence, employment, and pride.
By involving local people in the production process, we create direct job opportunities and strengthen their sense of ownership.
Legacy of Light believes that real change starts from within—by empowering people to be part of the growth of their community.
Legacy of light mindset-training Sierra Leone
In partnership with Pastor Apostle and his inspiring community, we delivered powerful digital mindset training to over 300 young people in Sierra Leone.
During this two-day training, young people learned how to renew their thinking, discover their strengths and take responsibility for their own future.
While Mirjam traveled to Namibia to prepare the next step in our mission, Jean-Mary Tshikele and Mirjam conducted the training together—a testament to our belief that light knows no boundaries.
The impact was profound, as young people shared how they felt motivated, heard, and re-inspired to become leaders in their own communities.
At Legacy of Light, we believe that one spark of awareness is enough to enlighten an entire generation. This training was living proof of that.
Legacy of light empowerment training "from struggle to strength" Uganda
At Legacy of Light International, we see single mothers not as victims of their circumstances, but as powerful builders of a new future.
Our empowerment training “From Struggle to Strength” is designed to guide mothers in their personal, family, and future development — from awareness, responsibility, and inner strength.
During this 6-week program, participants work on:
Personal growth and mindset development – learning to think in terms of possibilities instead of limitations.
- Leadership within the family – balance between love, boundaries and structure.
- Future and entrepreneurial planning – formulating a concrete action plan for financial independence.
- Spiritual awareness – rediscovering one's own light and the power to give direction to life.
The training combines practical tools with spiritual insights, so that mothers learn to build from their inner strength instead of survival.
We believe that when a mother grows, a whole generation grows along with her.
That is why we invest not only in knowledge, but in awareness, self-confidence and sustainability of change.
Legacy of Light International – empowering mothers to rise, rebuild and lead with light.
